ABOUT THE PROJECT

The inclusion of migrant students into European educational systems is a priority for policymakers in the European Union, as there are still many challenges in this regard.

The FEINAMC project focuses on the dissemination and upscaling of good practices (the mentoring programme and the prior learning assessment tool) to foster inclusion of newly arrived migrant children in the formal educational systems in Austria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy and Spain and in the European Union.

The project is targeted towards:

• Teachers and school Heads
• Mentors (secondary education students)
• Mentees (secondary education students)

The project aims to disseminate and scale up good practices to foster the inclusion of newly arrived migrant children in the formal educational system.

The specific objectives of the project are:

• Disseminating and scaling up good practices (the mentoring programme and the prior learning assessment tool) to foster inclusion of newly arrived migrant children into the formal educational system.
• Supporting the inclusion of newly arrived migrants in good quality education, including by assessing knowledge and validating prior learning.

The project will adapt the good practices (a mentoring programme and a prior learning assessment tool) to guarantee their dissemination and upscaling by developing several activities.
